Kate Hanley, LCPC
Therapist
I believe that therapy is a place for you to be truly seen and heard, and be supported in seeking the change you want to make. It is a privilege and an honor to walk with clients on their journey.
I largely draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy - which encourages us all to see our circumstances, selves, and our difficulties as they truly are - and make intentional effort to live the best way we can. Along with this, I use a lot of values-based work - identifying those things which give direction and meaning to your life and using this as a guiding framework for life decisions - both big and small. I also utilize DBT, narrative therapy and existential frameworks. Sessions with me involve a lot of analogies, openness, and valuing the uniqueness and strengths of each individual person.
Outside of therapy, I am an avid reader, find creative outlets through baking, enjoy art of all kinds, and love spending time with my family.
My specialities include:
- Addiction
- Adjustment and Stage of Life Struggles
- Anxiety and Depression
- Couples Work
- Eating Disorders
- Family Issues and Family of Origin Issues
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Parenting
- Fertility, Pregnancy, and Postpartum
