Clinical Intern
"Am I becoming the man I want to be?" Most men carry some version of that question long before they make an appointment. What surprises the men I work with is that therapy with me isn't about dwelling on problems. It's about getting clear on your values and purpose, and living by them.
Sessions with me are direct, practical, and grounded in your real life. You don't need to be good at talking about feelings. We'll start wherever you are: a struggling marriage, a habit you keep confessing, pressure at work, or a loneliness you don't talk about. We'll name the values you want to live by and take real steps toward them, with faith as a tool if you choose. My goal is not just to help you reduce symptoms but help you be the fullest version of yourself.
I served in the Army in Iraq and later trained as a spiritual director. Both showed me how many men carry heavy things alone, and I became a counselor so fewer of them have to. In my free time, I love reading about Ignatian spirituality, a tradition I keep finding new depth in. One of my favorite parts of the day is praying the Examen with my kids before bed.
My specialties include:
- Men's Mental Health: Depression, Anxiety, Loneliness, and Sexual Integrity
- Veterans and First Responders
- Trauma
- Divorce, Separation, Co-Parenting, and Life Transitions
- ACT, Logotherapy, Faith-Informed Therapy (Ignatian Spirituality), Trauma-Informed Care
